About this pomegranate cocktail
In my humble opinion the holidays just aren’t THE HOLIDAYS without some serious sparkle. Tinsel covered trees, twinkly lights, decorative sugar covered desserts, glittery mistletoe, and metallic sequined party dresses… you get the picture.
But the sparkle should NOT stop there.
I mean, holidays = ALL the sparkle humanly possible.
Basically, it should look like Tinker Bell and her pixie dust threw your party and brought it back to the dazzling disco ball era. Think studio 54, glitz and glamour.
So, obviously your holiday cocktails also NEED to shine!! Pairing bubbly prosecco (or sparkling wine) with pomegranates, oranges, and a sparkly sugar rim is the perfect elegant drink for all your holiday celebrations.
If you have leftover pomegranate arils, put them to good use in these delicious recipes: Cucumber and Pomegranate Salad, Chicken with Pomegranate, and Pomegranate Margaritas.
Why you’ll love this drink recipe
This cocktail is what I will be cheering with all holiday season… and probably well into the New Year. Here’s why:
- Refreshing Flavor! Tart from the pomegranate, citrusy from the blood orange liqueur, and effervescent from the bubbly Prosecco, this prosecco pomegranate cocktail is a ideally refreshing with the perfect effervescent crispness.
- Glam! Garnish this sparkly holiday pomegranate cocktail with fresh mint, pops of jeweled pomegranate arils and serve them in a glitzy, glittery sugared rim for a drink worthy of any celebration.
- Easy Cocktail Recipe! Rim your champagne glasses with sugar, pour your cocktail, and enjoy! It honestly doesn’t get any easier than that – you don’t even need to shake or stir.
Festive, fizzy, and fun – this cocktail is essentially holiday sass in a glass.
Tips for the best pomegranate prosecco cocktail
- Do NOT skip the garnishes. Normally I say garnishes are completely optional, but since this IS the holidays, I firmly believe you should just go all out. The sweet, sugary rim perfectly balances the tartness of the cocktail, while the pomegranate arils add a touch of pizazz and the mint adds a nice freshness (along with some festive green color).
- Batch It. Instead of making this as individual cocktails, you could serve this out of a pitcher or as a party punch. To do so, simply add the liqueur, pomegranate juice, pomegranate arils and a few mint leaves to a pitcher or bowl and place it in the refrigerator. Line the rims of a few glasses with the sugar and set aside. When ready to serve add the prosecco and let your guest help themselves.
- Serving: If you’re looking for more holiday drinks for your home bar, serve your cocktail with pomegranate seeds with the following fan favorites: Peppermint Holiday Cocktail and/or Apple Cider Cocktail.
Add sparkle and flare to your holiday season with this Pomegranate and Prosecco holiday drink.
Until next week friends, cheers! To making spirits bright.

These are beautiful and cheery!!! And no, of course I wouldn’t skip the garnish….that’s half the fun. I always need a good excuse to keep proseco in the house.
Kate @ Framed Cooks
I am so with you on the sparkle – we got those new-fangled laser lights for our front door and I can’t stop going outside in the freezing cold to admire them! Meantime, this looks like the PERFECT holiday cocktail, and I am seriously in love with the glasses! Pinning! xoxo
Marissa
What a festive cocktail! So pretty in those flutes…and we’re big fans of all things that sparkle, especially when they’re named prosecco. 😉
Amanda
Yes, I am ALL for sparkle around the holidays. Sometimes I think I should get one of those kitschy colored trees because I like big and bold. Tinsel is thrown all over my tree like it’s going out of style and I LOVE my huge, 1950s-inspired colored Christmas tree bulbs. Subtle my tree is not. 😉 But I love it.
And I am also loving this! How funny. The other day I was in the liquor store getting brandy for mixed drinks and I stared down a bottle of Prosecco, trying my hardest to think of an excuse to buy it. And here it is! This sounds wonderful!

Yeeeesss, I do love sparkling wines. That’s probably the only one boozy thing I cannot imagine any holidays without. Especially Christmas. And New Year. And Valentine’s. Normally, I don’t even get to make a coctail. But these ones look so pretty and fancy that they will make the perfect festive coctails. Can we start celebrating yet?:)
Stacey @ The Sugar Coated Cottage
What a seriously deliciously flavored cocktail and beautiful as well. I just love the pomegranate arils that float to the top. This would put more sparkle in the holiday!! Take care

Hiiya!! The week was a-okay… that is, until I had the pleasure of stopping by my brightest bestie’s beautiful site. 🙂 Ya know I say this all the time, but I have to say it again: you make THE most beautiful cocktails! How? How do you do it?? Lolol on jolly feels-inducing libations. 🙂 YES on all the sparkles humanely possible. Just… YES!! Did I tell you I got a little tin of glitter just for the holidays? Looking at it makes me smile like a serious goofball! So now that I’m looking at your sparkling holiday cocktail, I’m sparkling in answer! <– Gosh, who thought I'd say "sparkle" this many times in one comment? 😉 Love this, Chey! <3 Now, when are you coming over and whipping up two batches? xoxo Pinned, of course! <3
Elizabeth
How much of each ingredient to make a batch in a pitcher?
Cheyanne Bany
Hi Elizabeth! First of all, thank you so much for stopping by! I’m not sure how to answer your question, since I don’t know the size of your pitcher. The cocktail recipe serves one, so to easily scale this up you would just multiply each ingredient by the number of people you are looking to serve. I would then add the prosecco to taste. If you are looking for a mimosa style cocktail, you would want to add a good amount of prosecco. Please let me know if you have any other questions!! Cheers!
Mary
Cheyanne, I wish you lived closer because we would be instant friends. You have all of these amazing cocktail recipes, and I’m pretty sure you need a refined palette to make sure they taste as delicious as they look. I have a real love affair with sparkling wines and Prosecco checks all the boxes. I usually drink an entire bottle by myself on special occasions, I pace myself throughout the day and have a great ole time. I think I’m going to save this recipe for Christmas evening. I have to visit my Mom Christmas Day, but I’m hoping to get home by 5, then the Orange & Pomegranate Prosecco can flow freely. I just changed my mind I’m going to make these at my Mother’s house, she will love them!

Our weather has totally been the pits this week, but we did need the rain. I’m so cheered up by this sparkly drink! I absolutely love prosecco and this blood orange and pomegranate combo has me wishing for a glass in my hot little hands right now! I’d love to put on my sparkly dress and dance the night away studio 54 style with this cocktail! Cheers!

Oh wow! Cheyanne -your pictures are freakin SPECTACULAR!!! I don’t drink often – but am wanting to burst out the bubbly and do some slurping of my own after looking at this stellar orange pom prosecco cocktail! I cannot get over how stunning your photos are – you’ve captured every bubble so well!
It’s been downright dreary weatherwise in my neck of the woods too – but – Tuesday was my gals birthday which is the best part of the year for me! Here’s hoping the rest of the week is merry and oh-so bright for you, sweet friend! Cheers!
Dawn @ Girl Heart Food
Despite you have a blah week, your Thursday must be looking up if you have one of these in hand, right? It’s super cold around here too and the temperature the past two mornings have been about -17 with the wind chill….eeeek….too cold for me!! This cocktail is just beautiful, Chey, as are your pics….I love the top down close up one with the pomegranates. Gorgeous! Pinned, of course. I’m sure this one will be part of our holiday celebrations. Would be perfect for New Years, especially 🙂 Have a lovely weekend, girlie. XO
Gayle @ Pumpkin ‘N Spice
It’s been a somewhat dreary week here too, mainly because there’s snow on the ground and it’s getting cooold. A high of 24 today, and next week, one day will be 5 degrees! Why do I live in Chicago again?! I agree, the holidays are the holidays without some sparkle, and you definitely brought it with this stunning drink! I absolutely love ALL of the flavors in here, Cheyanne! The orange, pomegranate and prosecco…my kind of drink. Pinned and I can’t wait to try this out. Sounds perfect for New Year’s!
Kathryn @ Family Food on the Table
The weather has been super dreary this week – I’m so ready for a little more sunshine! But regardless of what’s happening out there, this festively little bubbly cocktail is going to bring some light + happiness inside! I love the orange-pomegranate flavors and I always love prosecco, so I’ll have to give this brand a try. The drink looks fabulous my friend (and even better that I can serve it by the pitcher!) – pinned and ready to sip! XO
Angie@Angie’s Recipes

The run-up before Christmas can get to the best of us 🙂 I had a few panicky moments already but feel that I am slowly back in control of my to-do list, not the other way round! A drink or two is always another great way to calm down. Love the gorgeous festive look of your orange & pomegranate prosecco! Cheers!
